Now I've finished my part of birdsong I feel almost dizzy, still nose back to the grindstone I still have plenty of work to do and I have a hankering to try making a mini comic over christmas.
Anyway I thought I'd share the above pages since the Famous Five cover is perhaps my favourite thing I've drawn for peckham.
I'll make a better post later in the week, right now I want to just doodle like a mad man.... I't been far too long... |

I've had a truly hellacious week since last Tuesday. Genuinely, family tragedy aside, everything else that could go wrong has gone wrong. I'm furious and depressed, and ready to become a shut in. But I won't. Cause I love you guys. But, damn; send me some pictures of kittens or something. I need some help here. Sheesh. |

Pat of Pat's Fantasy Hotlist runs good contests, evil Dallas Cowboys fan that he is. Right now he's giving away five sets of the first two books in our current Wild Cards triad, INSIDE STRAIGHT and BUSTED FLUSH.

Rustbelt, the Amazing Bubbles, Double Helix, the Radical, Gardener, and Jonathan (Bugsy) Hive provide the threads for our tapestry in this tale of love, war, revenge, and madness in the heart of darkness... but other Wild Cards favorites will also appear, including Cameo, Hoodoo Mama, Lohengrin, Dr. Finn, Popinjay, and many more. God damn schoolies was good fun. There isn't any better way to celebrate the finishing of high school than a solid week of partying. Being alive is pretty damn good.
Here's a sketch I did a couple of months ago.
And no this is not what went down on schoolies. Sadly. As much fun being a greasy haired womaniser is, it is not what I decided to do with my week. What I did do was party, juggle, party, swim, party, party, almost get assaulted by a drugged up angry neighbour, party and go to a music festival. Damn good times.
Now I have lots of time for painting, drawing and photography. Get ready, kids.

When you see someone standing behind you in line at the 99ยข store, buying christmas candy and four or five pregnancy tests, you have questions.
Isn't a pregnancy test one of those things you'd be willing to drop three bucks on? Instead of buying four boxes and trying all of them, maybe just get one box of the non-generic at a store with a somewhat better reputation? You certainly looked like you weren't hurting for money, so I can't imagine you desperately needed to get the dollar ones. Did this not, at the very least, merit its own trip to the store, or did you get the little stack of christmas candy hoping that it would distract from the pregnancy tests? Is it possible they were stocking stuffers? You seemed to be in an awful hurry and not of the jovial disposition I'd expect from someone jokingly buying dollar store pregnancy tests for gag gifts. You looked old enough to have a daughter, but the idea that they could be for her would be more horrifying than the idea of you getting them for yourself.
